KUMBH
Today is the first day of Kumbh month. This month is
associated with Kumbh mela in north India. There is no corresponding festival
in the South.
As usual, I went and prayed at Guruvayoor temple. The annual
festival there,begins on the second of March. The prathishthadivas of Sastha
tempmle at Chathakudam, falls on the same day. It is celebrated with elephants
drum beating etc.
