DEBT BURDEN
I think I have introduced this idea, through a story.
All people of the village, especially those belonging to the
lower classes, can join a mutual fund. Each one must deposit ten rupees daily.
A pass book may be opened for all, for this purpose. The amount may be
collected by volunteers and the total amount deposited in a joint account of reliable
people of the locality, selected for this purpose.
Whenever need arises for assistance, money may be withdrawn
from the bank. This way borrowing can be
avoided. All will become self sufficient.
