PEEPAL TREE

Peepal tree is peculiar. During summer, it sprouts plenty of leaves, more than in the rainy season. From the rocks, new plants may grow in summer.  It prefers water molecules available in the rock which is actually porous. The same way, these grow from the terrace too, because concrete is porous. It may be, that too much water suffocates the roots.

Desert plants like cactus also have this habit.
