WHAT ARE ISLANDS?
Just as a tree has roots, going deep into the earth, so has
islands in the sea, roots of rock, reaching up to the bottom of the sea. And they go beyond, into the rock structure.
In other words, islands are hills and mountains I the sea. The pacific ocean
can engulf mountains, much higher than the Himalayas.
If we imagine the earth, devoid of water, it will give you a
true picture of the earth. The inland lakes also may conceal several hills.
