HISTORY-CAPTAIN’CORNER

CAPTAIN’CORNER
Immediately after India became free, Pakistan attacked us and fierce battles were going on, at various hill points. Our forces at the north eastern tip, was Captained by  a Sardarji , who wanted to capture the hill, which could be used to observe troop movements around the hill, for quite some distance.
If the troops tried to march up the hill, they could be noticed and mowed down , as happened at Kargil. So, he asked them to wait and drove up his jeep. On reaching there , he saw Pakistani troops resting  very near.  He gunned down all and planted our flag.
He then called his troops up.

So the hill is now known as Captain’s Corner
