KALI NADI

KALI NADI
The Kaiga Atomic Project is built on the bank of Kali Nadi, which falls in the sea, near Karwar, Karnataka.
The river bed is flat, with practically no slope towards the sea; the result is that its level changes with the tide. We stayed there for some years.
There are canoes for ferrying people from the land to the islands in the sea. We used to enjoy it.

One day, we witnessed a miraculous spectacle. A full rainbow stretched from one bank of the river to the other, like an arch. There was no cloud and we could watch it for some time, before our bus crossed the river.
