STATUE OF NARASIMHA RAO BEING ERECTED IN GUJARATH Former Prime Minister Narasimha Rao was instrumental in bringing Manmohan Singh as his Finance Minister, to introduce ‘globalisation’ of the economy here. It changed the face of the economy here. But the Congressmen ignored him after his death. His body was not placed for public viewing in the Capital, but was flown to Hyderabad. Now Narendra Modi is constructing a statue of Rao in Gujarath. Why? It is well known that Rao could have prevented the demolition of Babri Masjid, by blocking the amassing of volunteers there . He turned a Nelson eye all the while. Congress leader Sardar Patel is also given a statue in Gujarath.
