US BLOCKADE OF CUBA ENDS When Fidel Castro captured power in Cuba, America enforced blockade of that country. Now, they have abandoned that attitude and the leaders of the two neighbouring countries are meeting, to work out a settlement, to reopen diplomatic ties. It is a historic wonder that Cuba has survived American wrath for more than half a century. The fact is that Cuba is not capable of giving oil. Otherwise, the US would have swallowed it in no time. Their anger against Castro was because he is a Communist. With China also, the Americans took a long time to realize that enmity does not pay. Now the Chinese are their best economic friend. I wonder why Obama took this much time to see things in proper perspective. The Head of the Government must be a philosopher and good statesman.
