SNAPS FROM MY LIFE-wad of notes
While in the Konkan Railway, our motto was to pass the
contractors’ bills the same day , as and when received . My reputation as
incorruptible, was high and no one tried to approach me with bribe money.
So I was shocked, when a fellow showed me a wad of hundred rupee notes, at the lobby
.“What is this?” I asked angrily. “Sir , you passed my bill so quickly. Please
accept it.”
“You seem to be new. I never accept money; passing the bill
is my duty. Do not repeat it. “
