KARTHIKEYAN, SPEAKER OF KERALA STATE ASSEMBLY IS DEAD
All people agree that Karthikeyan was a thorough gentleman,
something rare among politicians. My hearty condolences to the bereaved family .
He belonged to the Indira Gandhi faction of the State
Congress, as opposed to the faction led by Ooman Chandi. Now a new person has
to be elected. The faction ridden Party faces problems. The irrepressible George is already opposed
to the Chief Minister. The problem of numbers too will arise, threatening the
narrow majority of the ruling coalition. If K.M.Mani is also disqualified, the
survival of the Government will be thread bare !
