FEASTIVAL SEASON AT GURUVAYOOR TEMPLE.
The last few days, I have been visiting the Guruvayoor temple. As the festival is going on, the ‘prasada oottu’ menu has changed. Instead of rice and sambar, it is kanji water (rice without draining the gravy) and muthira puzhukku, served in paper bowls, with salt and one papad added. It is quite refreshing  and the quantity is limitless. After the meal, one has to carry the empty bowl and drop it, in the waste basket.

I used to carry some books and managed to sell enough copies, though the devotees generally do not care to see it even!
