BALAKRISHNAN SUPPORTS BALAKRISHNAN
A lady was proposed by Balakrisna Pilla of the Kerala
Congress, to be the Speaker of the Kerala assembly. Kodiyeri Balakrishnan of
the CPM supported it. But Sakthan off the Congress Party got elected, with
convincing majority. This shows the inherent strength of the UDF in the Satate.
Now the CPM is trying to block the presentation of the
budget today. This is undemocratic and farcical. Disruption of the Assembly cannot
be justified in any circumstances.
Deliberate obstruction must cause automatic disqualification of the
members. There must be a law for this purpose.
