There is a well written article about fiscal measures of the Banks, in the Indian express. I quote:”The big elephant in the room is: without financial inclusion, India will not have the kitty of savings it needs, to fund the growth, its demography demands.”
The fact is that only a minority of the people have Bank deposits. Others depend on kurees. How can these savings be converted into Bank deposits?
