STORY - LOTTERY VENDOR

I grew among street children, without knowing how I was born.
I began with picking plastic bags which I gave to our leader, Afterwards it was selling newspapers at bus stand. Then it was lottery tickets, which sold like hot cake. When young I looked pretty, with an amiable sweet smile which attracted women. A nurse fell  for me and married me. I was happy with my life and continued with lottery sale. The railway gate keeper told me to one ticket daily to his wife, who lived near by and liked me. She had no issues and would call me inside and have sex. As my  wife had her duty, she was becoming  aloof from me and I enjoyed sex with this woman. In due course, she became pregnanr, ten years after their marriage. The gate keeper distributed sweets to his friends.
This gave me a purpose in life. I felt it my duty to look after the child. I opened a bank account in her name, as soon as she was born. The lottery ticket brought her  a prize, if only it was twenty thousand rupees. My fame grew and women priffered me for purchase of tickets.
I am scheming by nature; I set up a shop in the town, selling books and magazines and note books for school children, and I told my woman to sit there and sell books and lottery tickets. I bought a scooter to leave the girl in school and her mother in the shop. My old friend of the street, advised me to publish books of a budding author and I agreed.
Some times God is also envious. I met with an accident and lost one leg. Of course, I got compensation from the car owner who hit me and also insurance money. My real wife heard of the accident and came to see me. She pleaded:”I know you are the real father of the girl. Please give me also a child.”
