KERALAM IN 1860 AD


There were no roads or railways in Keralam up to may 1862, when the first train rolled from Madras to Calicut.
The only transport was by water. People used to trudge for long hours along narrow paths with forest on eithe side.
I f you like to enjoy such times, you can still do so, in the interior Malabar!
