NORWAY HAS 1, 50, 000 ISLANDS

NORWAY HAS 1, 50, 000 ISLANDS!

It is very difficult to draw the outline of Norway because the sea shore is notched like the edge of a saw. Inland, there are any number of mountain ranges, with an equal number of bays. In fact, the mountains dive into the sea and their peaks appear as islands which number more than one lac and fifty thousand! Some of these are very small, just enough to construct a hotel. Any number of buildings have, as a matter of fact, been built. It would be a wonderful experience to stay there.
Do geography books mention these thing? I feel that learning this subject can be great fun if examinations are dispensed with and visual images are used in plenty, so that students will watch it eagerly. National Geographic Channel is doing a wonderful thing, but that is not shown in schools. Three dimensional maps, too, would be very helpful in understanding the subject.
Scientists can gain a lot if only they learn physical geography.
