STATE SHOULD NOT MEDDLE IN MORAL MATTERS

PROHIBITION
There is prohibition in Gujarat. When most states allow people to drink freely, why is prohibition still there in this state alone? Are not people drinking alcohol in this state? It is just a false sense of debt to the father of the nation.
SMOKING
Smoking is not allowed in cinema only. Tobacco is allowed to be cultivated and factories allowed to make cigarettes. What purpose does the mandatory warning on packets, against smoking serve?
IMMORAL TRAFFICKING
Occasionally, the police arrest some women and men in hotels and charge them under a law against illegal sex. The people are let off after some time. Just a show! Why is such a law retained?
DOG MENACE
Stray dogs are a nuisance and cases of dog bites plenty. Give some money to those who catch them and give dogs to wild animals in the zoo or just kill them. Some law comes in the way. Remove the obnoxious law.
I have seen dogs being caught in Rajasthan Atomic Power Station area. They are transported and let off in the nearby forest. After some time, they all return safely. Can you think of anything more foolish?
HOLY COW
In the north India, cow slaughter has been prohibited, owing to political pressure. The poor animals are allowed to die slowly owing to malnutrition. Sometimes, they just lie down right in the middle of the road.You have to drive carefully. To slaughter them is a better option, if you ask the cow. Remove the senseless law.
LAW AGAINST SUICIDE
No one commits suicide, if he can avoid it, I am sure. The poor fellow undergoes mental torture, sufficiently enough to receive pardon from society which allows him torture but not relief from pain!
There should be centres for suicide seekers, to allow them to die calmly and painlessly. The law must be repealed and mercy killing allowed.

Senior citizens, who have seen life and learned something from life, may spare a thought about senseless laws, only some listed above, and react to my suggestions.
