CPM AND VS ACHUTHANANDAN
When T.P.Chandrasekharan was killed, V.S.Achuthandan went to
console his widow, Rema. TP was a Communist
and there is nothing wrong in paying a condolence visit to the widow. He
demanded a CBI probe into the murder.
From that point, he became a rebel. Now, he has been eliminated from the
State Party Secretariat. This is purely an internal matter and the common
people are not interested.
But the Malayalam TV channels are continuously barking on
this issue, for the last several days,
discussing this issue. It is sickening.
VS is popular and a crowd puller, the oldest leader, with a
reputation for honest. His expulsion will have consequences on the coming
elections. Even the Party may split. If so, the Stalinist approach of Pinarayi
Vijayan, in eliminating rivals in the Party, will be responsible.
