UNDERGROUND SHELTERS TO PROTECT FROM HEAT

UNDERGROUND SHELTERS During summer, thousands of people in North India die of heat wave. Mostly poor elderly people die this way because they have no shelter. HUMIDITY IS ZERO AND THE BODY WILL NOT SWEAT. This compounds the problem. In the Sahara desert, people and camels lie on the ground and the wind blows the sand over them , providing a cover from heat. We must also provide underground shelters to protect from hot air (loo). Plenty of water must be provided for drinking. We can stop death due to loo.
