LAND MARK JUDGMENT ABOUT MAOISTS The Kerala High Court has ruled that a man cannot be arrested merely because he is a Maoist. Like any other Party, Maoist Party is doing legitimate political activity. In the context of support by the Communist Party of India, this Judgment is a boost to Maoists. Those who espouse the cause of people in the forests, who are denied food, shelter, education, health care etc., are dubbed as Maoists and put behind the bars. Maoism must be fought by education and improvement of tribal people.
