CRUSADE OF THIS CENTURY About 500 years ago there where several attempts by European countries to Wrest control of the wholly city of Jerusalem from Muslims. Ostensibly it was a religious war,but actual purpose was commercial. There was no Suez canal and Muslims controlled the trade from Europe to Asia, which the Europeans wanted to finish. Richard the Lion hearted was the hero of this war.He was a bachelor. His only purpose in life was freedom of Jerusalem. His weapon was the axe (Remember Parasuram to had this weapon) There is a story that,on the way,wine barrels goat thrown in the sea without hesitation the King himself jumped into the water and started pulling the barrel and all his followers followed him,with the result that all barrels saved.it is said that he was ready to sell London to raise money for the war effort! PRESENT CRUSADE: Now we are witnessing once again,a war between Christians and Muslims.The whole Muslim word is fighting for freedom from US domination of Iraq,Iran,Afghanistan and Kashmir.Die hard fanatics are ready to sacrifice their life for the cause. Let us see who wins this Crusade.
