KRISHNATHULASI
In front of the medical shop, I saw an advertisement of
krishnathulasi extract, made at Kollam. It is recommended for cough and related
ailments. I bought on bottle costing Rs. 45, as almost all in the family are
affected by severe cough. But here they refuse to use it.
Almost all leaves are nutritious. Cows live by eating grass.
It is customary to add thulasi to the water given in temples as thirth. The
black variety is krishnathulasi. It may have more value as a medicine.
