SABARIMALA TEMPLE

TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF MALAYALAM MONTH VRISCHIKAM As usual , we went to Guruvayoorappan temple in Delhi. We reached there before Sun rise and came back by 8 AM. The Mandala pooja at Ayyappa temple in Shabarimala also begins today and ends on 26-12-2015, when Makarajyodi appears on a distant hill. Devotees believe it as a celestial event. The tradition is that women cannot enter the temple before menopause. Still , collection of money offered by devotees, is more than that at Guruvayoor temple. Staff of a Bank remain there to count cash and deposit it in the Bank , during this period There is a proposal to declare it as a national temple . for which the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will come here.
